My failed attempt at speedpainting.

[add] forgot to tell the background story to the pic lol. This fight is part of my imaginary non-existant story, basically different random people in the world get random overpowered powers and are told to fight each other. They desroy entire cities and stuff in their fights and stuff. This would be such a kick ass manga concept. TOTAL DESTRUCTION.

I've come to acknowledge that some people are gifted with the skills to paint and are good at blocking off forms...but I'm not one of those TnT

In the end I'm still a line person. I envy those painters who could just block off colours and use the right colours so fast, without thinking, and it would look amazing within like 5 minutes. Most of the amazing pictures in my favs are awesome painting from dA, so if you want to see what I mean, just look in there ( I don't have a crazy amount of favs )

bah, theres so much to learn about colour...

Omg don't whine, you're so talented :O It all comes with practise, plus the composition looks absolutely fine. Even though it might have taken you longer than you would have wanted to, the colours look great imo, it's interesting and lively. The line effect is really cool, too :) Head up man ^^

if you look at all the great painters, they've been doing it for multiple years. some of them've been painting for more than five. you can't beat yourself up because you aren't like them yet.

I see no failure in this attempt. Many people who do the speedpaintings all do them in different styles and this one appears no different - by being in its own style.

I love the way you did the colouring of the flames/fire - looks so very angry-destructive and then the way you did the blasting and the cave (?). Awesome job.
